Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. When you cancel:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have full access to all paid features until your next billing date
  • After your billing period ends, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan with limited functionality
  • No further charges will be made to your payment method

Example: If you cancel on December 17th and your billing cycle ends on December 31st, you will retain full access to your paid plan until December 31st. Starting January 1st, your account will transition to the Free plan.

2. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription using any of these methods:

  1. Account Settings: Navigate to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
  2. Email: Send a cancellation request to support@smartalgorhythm.com
  3. Support: Contact our customer support team

Cancellation requests are typically processed within 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is complete.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 General Policy

Due to the nature of digital services, we generally do not offer refunds for subscription fees already paid. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your billing period, ensuring you receive the full value of your payment.

3.2 Exceptions

We may consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Service unavailability: Extended service outages lasting more than 72 consecutive hours
  • Billing errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect billing amounts
  • First-time subscribers: Refund requests within 48 hours of initial subscription purchase, provided the Service has not been substantially used

3.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email support@smartalgorhythm.com with:

  • Your account email address
  • Transaction ID or payment receipt
  • Reason for the refund request

Refund requests are reviewed within 5-7 business days. If approved, refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

4. Plan Downgrade

Instead of cancelling, you may choose to downgrade to a lower-tier plan:

  • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle
  • You will continue to have access to your current plan features until the end of the billing period
  • Any price difference is not refunded for the current billing period

5. Free Plan Access

After your paid subscription ends, your Free plan will include:

  • Limited number of searches per month
  • Basic search functionality
  • Access to your saved search history

Your account data and search history will be retained. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time to restore full functionality.

6. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account entirely (rather than just cancelling your subscription):

  • Please cancel your subscription first to avoid further charges
  • Contact support to request account deletion
  • Account deletion is permanent and all data will be removed within 30 days
  • Deleted accounts cannot be recovered

7. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
